I grew up riding at Dublin Farms training with Boo from crossrails all the way through the junior hunters. She is an extremely positive and patient teacher at all levels and gave me lots of confidence in my abilities, making lessons both productive and fun. I loved my time lessoning and showing with Boo as much as an adult as I did at 10 years old. First, I cannot say enough about the facility that Boo has built at Dublin. I have had the opportunity to train and show at many barns in my adulthood and can honestly say that very few people put as much time and energy into making their barn as horse and people friendly as Boo has. Whenever we traveled to other facilities, Boo would be looking for new ideas to improve. I didn’t realize how spoiled we were with the immense turnout, cross country course, grass training fields, spacious indoor, and well maintained outdoor until I moved away.Throughout my time with Boo, I purchased 2 horses through her who were both the perfect mounts for my goals. My short stirrup horse took me all the way through until I was ready to step up and was champion at both local and A shows alike. My second horse with Boo was an excellent step up who even came with me to college and took me all the way into the amateur adults. In me early 20’s there was a period when I didn’t have the time required for him and sent him right back to Boo where I knew he would stay fit, be safe, and be spoiled. When I eventually moved to Tennessee, Boo found the perfect trainer for me and personally trailered my horse to the new location and made sure I was settled and in good hands- that’s how much she cares! In fact, I’m 33 now and still have that horse! He’s been a very beloved teacher for dozens of kids and adults alike and Boo was the one who found him for me and kept him maintained so well. He’ll be 28 this year!In competition, Boo always made shows both fun and educational. I saw a lot of success in the ring with Boo, but I think most importantly, she really instilled in me what it means to be a responsible horse person when showing your horses and how to treat them like the partners they are and put their well-being above everything else. My experiences growing up riding with Boo have made me the horse person I am today and I have always been thankful for receiving a good foundation in how to ride, show, and maintain my horses that has carried me through to continued competitive success as an adult. Thank you Boo!
